It’s night one of #BSBAtTheBeach. The welcome party is packed in the outdoor theater at the Sunrise property at Moon Palace Cancun. The Backstreet Boys are on stage chatting with fans, talking about the next few days’ events to come, swapping jokes with one another as they always do. The resort has delicious food out in a buffet line and the cocktails are flowing. It is a perfect evening to start off the first ever 4 day #BSBAtTheBeach event.
I Just Want You To Know… About My Journey as a Backstreet Boys Fan

Being a Backstreet Boys fan has been a significant part of my life, shaping my experiences since I was 15.
As fans we all have our favorite works by our favorite artists and, no matter how much we try to deny it and pretend like we love everything that gets released by our favorite artists, we also have music that just does not do it for us.
I was born in 1998. “Backstreet’s Back” wasn’t even one-year-old yet and “Millennium” would come out exactly one year later.
If you’ve been around the Backstreet block for awhile, you’ve probably experienced the many versions of Backstreet fangirl that most fandoms are made of.
As we all know, the narrative that ‘I want it that way’ doesn’t make sense lyrically is pretty much a pillar of the Backstreet Boys fandom.
Anyone feel like they are starting to lose their minds, or that others are? I think we have come to that time when we just need a break, and we should say it to ourselves, “I need a break, from (fill in the blank).”
It is ok to take a break… from our jobs, from our families, friends, and especially social media.
