Hey baby, let’s go to Vegas and everything else …

I suck. I know. I start every personal post off this way lately and really, I’ll be honest – I’ve been way too focused on writing my next book.

First off, I started a sequel to “How To Be An Adult Fangirl (And Not Ruin Your Life)” and then I stopped. Then I started another one … then I stopped and went back to the sequel.

Then I started a whole other story, which I’m going to finish because I’m really excited about it. As of right now, it’s called “Sweeter Than Fiction.” It deals with a boy band member, not the fake boy band from my other book and not from a real boy band. It’s another fictional boy band, obviously.

On top of that, I’ve been at my new job for almost three months. Next Friday will be my three-month anniversary and the past three months has FLOWN by. I’ve finally gotten over my concussion from the wreck and I really do love my job. I’ve been working long hours and I don’t mind it because I love my job so much. I get to write, design, film, edit videos, etc. It’s everything I love and I love my new co-workers and the company.

If you follow me on social media or talk to me on a semi-regular basis, I’m sure you’ve seen a change in my attitude. I’m a lot happier. I’m a lot less stressed – a lot.

So I said Vegas, right? I can’t remember if I’ve blogged about it …

But I won a free trip to Vegas from Star 94 in Atlanta so Mara is flying up from Tampa and we’re flying to Vegas next Friday for the show that night. We come back the next day so we are literally in Vegas for about 30 hours I think? Oh well, I really didn’t think I was going to get to see the boys in Vegas this year, and now I will. I’m excited because not only do I see the boys, but several friends will be there while I’m there and I can’t wait to see them even though the trip and celebration will be short!

I’ve never really won anything big like that before except for once. In 2007, I won a free week-long trip to Nashville for the CMA Fan Fest from CMT. I got to stay at the fanciest hotel in Nashville for a week and it was so awesome. And while this is a one-day trip, it will probably top that.

And that’s what’s been up with me. My goal is to now start back posting at least one BSB/boy band-related post once a week on here and get back to my old self.

As for that post title? It’s one of my favorite old-school Faith Hill songs 🙂
