Can you BELIEVE how amazing the CMT Awards were for the Backstreet Boys? Let’s do a little break down since it’s midnight and so much has happened! This post will be updated on Thursday though with more stuff! Plus, I will have a post with all the feels on what it feels like to be a country music fan who also is obsessed with the Backstreet Boys.

The Backstreet Boys won their very first CMT Award Wednesday night in Nashville alongside their CMT Crossroads and duet partners Florida Georgia Line.

Nick: “Are you kidding me?”

Brian Littrell: “Okay, really? Hold on. Seriously? Who would have thought that 20 years ago when ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’ came out that these guys, Florida Georgia Line, would be singing on our stage and we’d actually do something together?”

Brian Kelley: Real quick, to the fans. We’re everything because of ya’ll. All of us up on stage, thank you, thank you, thank you. This is crazy”

Nick: “I wanna thank God, your mama and these boys right here!

Tyler: “Thank you CMT, we love you guys!”

Georgia native and country singer Lauren Alaina pretty much geeked out over the Backstreet Boys on the red carpet, going to her Instagram to record herself singing “Everybody” with the guys.

Sara from What Happens on the Backstreet Boys, who was at the awards, reports that both Chris Lane and Carrie Underwood were seen dancing during the guys performance of “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.”

Chris is a self-proclaimed boy band freak and Carrie is also a known boy band fan, mostly fangirling over Donnie Wahlberg and New Kids on the Block.

The guys performed “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” inside Bridgestone Arena and according to television and others in the crowd, it got a really good reception.

The guys walked the red carpet together and AJ also went ahead before the other guys to do some promo for his solo song that’s currently out, “Back Porch Bottle Service.”

More to come…
