Review: ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ is the best out of all three movies

As many people know that have been my friend for at least six years, they know I loved the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy. Sure, the writing wasn’t that of Jane Austen (one of my heroes), but it drew you in and I read all three books in three days.

[AdSense-A] So Wednesday, Julia and I attended an advanced screening of “Fifty Shades Freed” in Atlanta and to say the least, we were not disappointed.

The movie didn’t have as many sex scenes as the other two movies did, but to be honest, they really didn’t need it. And what sex scenes they had, it was more than just sex – it was love. Christian and Ana love each other and Christian has broken down from this man with a wall built up around him and let Anastasia in.

The movie kept the pace up (no pun intended) and there really weren’t any slow parts to the movie, unlike the second movie in the trilogy, which I thought was kind of eh, especially compared to the first movie.

You can see how much Christian and Ana have grown throughout their quick, but dramatic relationship – especially Christian. Ana was always warm and loving, but Christian pretty much became whipped and honestly, I think that’s what he needed.

My favorite part of the movie was when Christian and Ana were on their honeymoon. They were first in Paris and then ended up in a beach town, which I said looked a lot like Cannes and it was the town I visited almost two years ago. In fact, it shows the castle that Mara, Hannah and I walked up  a hill/mountain for and then showed Christian and Ana in that very same spot that the three of us stood.

While some parts of the movie was corny, it’s a love story. It’s a love story that was originally fan fiction. It’s going to have corny parts, but really, that’s what makes women love this story so much. That and the part that Jamie Dornan is incredibly hot. Like, hotter in this movie than the previous two.

It was easily one of the best final moveis of a series, next to Twilight’s “Breaking Dawn: Part 2,” which is funny because “50 Shades of Grey” started out as a “Twilight” fan fiction.

I give it 8 out of 10 llamas.
