Thoughts: Being a perfectionist fangirl is a hard life to lead

Everything has to be perfect. Right? That’s what I always think, but does it ever turn out the way I want it? Yeah, not really.

I bought a journal and some colored pens so that I can map out things for The Fangirling Life and the Backstreet Boys fan club – post ideas, videos, things like that. I have almost two pages of things written out, but have I had time to do it?

My mother is back in the hospital for the second time in two weeks.

It literally eats at my soul that I haven’t been as active with “Boy Band” this summer, but I practically have to rush out of work in order to get home in time to watch it and with everything I have to do when I get home, I just don’t have time.  I feel like a horrible fangirl because of that.

I’m kind of a perfectionist. If you haven’t noticed with the site here, I try to make everything perfect – the blog posts, the graphics, videos, layout, everything. It’s just the type of person I am. And it pains me when something doesn’t work out the way that I want it to work.

I wish my life would get back to normal so that I can do all of these post ideas. I wish when I start writing something that I could write so much that people want to stop reading. Granted, and it’s a proven fact in journalism, people tend to stop reading things halfway through a story.

So like, you now, reading this. Congratulations, you’ve made it further than most people would. People like things fast, quick and at their fingertips. That’s why newspapers and the media is changing.

How did I get to talking about my job? Gah. This is supposed to be about fangirling! See, because the topic of this post went in a totally different direction in infuriates me!

Plans for the weekend:

  • Go to the Braves game and see MC Hammer – Yeah, decided not to go since my mom is in the hospital and I have so much to do.
  • Organize and create the #ProjectHowito birthday video for
  • Write up some blog posts and actually go through with it.
  • Maybe a new layout for the site? Maybe.

Ugh, being a perfectionist sucks, especially as a fangirl.
