Dear Backstreet Boys,
You are my safest place to hide. I don’t mean that in a cheesy way because of your song, but in a way that you probably will never understand.
On days like today, when I feel like I’m suffocating, can’t breathe and can’t reach the top of the ocean, you keep me from drowning in my own depression. You keep me from having that huge panic attack that sends me over the edge.
I can have the worst day – the kind of day where you wonder if you can even make it a few more hours before losing it – and get in the car and hear “I Want It That Way” and a that one song can turn the whole day around.
I can be sitting in a corner, crying and wondering if I can even stand up to finish the rest of the day and a tweet goes off, showing a new photo or maybe Nick is tweeting fans and it takes my mind off of everything that’s bothering me.
Stressing about life, bills, money and one of my best friends that BSB introduced me to can text me and turn that all around.
Thank you for taking part in an event that I got to see that not only made a dream of mine coming true (you guys going country), but gave me the chance to get away from real life for a day and to see my favorite five guys (seven if you count FGL) and spend time with my best friend and see other friends and besties that I hadn’t seen since the last cruise.
Thank you for always being there even when you guys have no idea that you are.
Like I said, you’re my safest place to hide away from real life.
Love,
Karah
