The past two weeks, I have been doing nothing but watching television every chance I get. Let’s talk about some of the things I’ve been watching.
- “THE RANCH”
The new Ashton Kutcher / Danny Masterson show featuring Sam Elliott on Netflix is probably the best thing I have seen in a while. Not only is it funny and reminds me why I loved Ashton in the first place, Sam Elliott just takes the cake. Not to mention Debra Winger is in it, too. Plus it’s your typical sitcom, but they will throw in the f-bomb every now and then. Plus, every episode of the first season is named after a Kenny Chesney song. And country music plays a big part in it. <3<3 A++ - “OUTLANDER”
So all of my friends watch this show – my real life friends, my work friends, everybody, so last Sunday I decided to bite the bullet and went for it. It was slow at first, but then it got interesting. I’ll probably never read the books, but the show is interesting enough that I’m keeping Starz add-on with my Amazon Prime account and going to continue watching it. It’s not “Scandal” or “The Walking Dead,” but, it’s good. I really enjoy the whole time travel aspect. Hey, “Back to the Future” is one of my all-time favorite movies and I love anything to do with early Europe history, so that fascinates me. My only issue is that there’s always talk of rape and even showing it. That’s my downfall, but I guess the storyline overshadows that a lot. B - “THE UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT”
Season two of this show came out on Friday and slowly since then I’ve been watching it. It is not as good as season one. The first episode of season two was pretty good and made me remember why I loved Paula Abdul as a kid, but the rest has been very slow. It has not been as good as season one. It’s focused a lot on the other characters and not Kimmy. If there is a season three, I hope they change some things. Oh and there’s a non-delightful Backstreet Boys dig in Episode 11. Thumbs down. C
Other than that, I have been working and preparing for the cruise. More to come later!
