There are several reasons I have started this site. I will list them one by one.
- I love boy bands and have since I was a little girl.
- My goal in life is to a be a full-time music reporter. Right now I’m a journalist at a metro newspaper where I do write a lot about music and the entertainment industry. I have a column called “Fangirling” and this blog is a small extension of that.
- One of my editors suggested that I start one after having some incredible luck of being asked twice to talk with Nick Carter and Jordan Knight twice this past Wednesday. I wrote about their joint venture back in January in my column at work. Whether that contributed to Wednesday or not, I don’t know. I’d like to think so.
- There are a ton of boy band fans – from Backstreet to New Kids to even O-Town who are coming back around. This site will focus on those bands and the individual members.This won’t be a breaking news site, unless there is something worth breaking, but a look at boy bands and their fans, maybe some interviews with fans and maybe even with the boys themselves at some point. Think of it as a mixture of a news site, Buzzfeed, Tumblr and Twitter all rolled into one.
So hopefully people will enjoy this as much as I hope I do. 🙂 Your thoughts and feedback are always welcomed!
