It was released through K-BAHN (their label) and BMG Rights Management as their first Independent album.

Did you know?

In A World Like This is the Backstreet Boys first album as five again since Kevin Richardson rejoined the group. His return to the group was announced during a NKOTBSB concert in London, England in April 2012.

Backstreet Boys spent 3 weeks in London, England to record the album from July 8-27, 2012. During the last day they were in London BSB held a lottery for fans to listen to songs they had worked on. They also recorded the album in Los Angeles, CA in the fall of 2012 as well as early 2013.

The album only sold 40,000 copies in the first week. It’s also their ninth album to reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200 charts.

During their 20th anniversary event held in Hollywood, CA on April 20, 2013 BSB previewed a few tracks from their album.  “Soldier”, “In Your Arms”, “Show ‘Em (What You’re Made Of)”, “Trust Me”, “Permanent Stain”, “Madeleine”, “Try”, and “Breathe”.

Leading up to the release of the album several songs had premiered through different media outlet websites. The first song BSB premiered was “Feels Like Home” which was available to Backstreet Boys Fan Club members only on July 18, 2013.
