Backstreet Boys self-titled debut album was released internationally on May 6, 1996 in various European and Asian countries. The album was later released in Canada in September 1996. It was never released in the U.S.

Most of the Backstreet Boys’ debut album was recorded at Full Sail University in Orlando, FL. They then flew out to Sweden to work with Denniz Pop and Max Martin in June 1995.

The first song they ever recorded with Denniz Pop and Max Martin was their first single “We’ve Got It Goin’ On”.
