Six @BackstreetBoys related things to watch while braving the Coronavirus

With the world shackled by the Coronavirus, a lot of us are staying at home more, which means we are likely to get bored and need something to watch. Netflix and Hulu can only take us so far and how many times can we watch “Thor” before our eyes cross.

So I decided to take it upon myself to make a list of things that any good Backstreet Boys fangirl (or boy) might want to watch. Not all of them include the Backstreet Boys, but are related to the life we lead.

‘I Used To Be Normal’

“I Used To Be Normal: A Boyband Fangirl Story” is a documentary that I’ve known about for a few years and was finally released and shown last year. It looks at the lives of four women who love four different bands and includes my friend Sadia as the Backstreet Boys fan. Seriously, you won’t regret watching it. Also, you might see someone’s name in the credits and thank you’s.

‘Homecoming: Live in Orlando’

Out of all of the live Backstreet Boys shows, this is probably my favorite. Why? I’m not sure, maybe it’s because it was before “Millennium.” Maybe it’s because it was before the guys really, REALLY blew up. I mean, they were huge, but they still had their solo moments. I mean, AJ and “Lay Down Beside Me” and Nick with “Heaven In Your Eyes.” Yes please.

‘I Heart Nick Carter’

Take a trip down memory lane before there was an Odin or a Saorise to when Nick and Lauren were preparing to get married. There’s even cameos by Howie and NKOTB’s Jordan Knight, plus the other Backstreet Boys.

‘The Boy Band Con’

Being a Backstreet Boys fan (if not, why are you here?), you know the Lou Pearlman story. However, this documentary by Lance Bass takes it a little further and you learn more about the other people that Lou Pearlman stole from.

‘Chasing Happiness’

Just over a year ago, the Jonas Brothers came back into our lives. Much like the Backstreet Boys’ documentary which I know we have all seen, ‘Chasing Happiness’ takes us on the highs and lows of why the group broke up and how they found themselves as brothers once again.

‘The Casserole Club’

This is a movie Kevin Richardson made during his departure from the Backstreet Boys. It takes place in the 1960s where wives trade recipes and have parties where some things get a little frisky.
