History: Can you believe “All I Have To Give” was officially released 22 years ago?

Yes, that title is right. On January 13, 1998, “All I Have To Give” was officially released as a single for the first time, in Europe and Canada, making it the last single released from “Backstreet’s Back.”

In the U.S., the single wasn’t released to radio until November 16, 1998, making it the last single from their self-titled U.S. debut album.

The song, written by the R&B group Full Force, was one of the first singles to showcase Howie Dorough’s vocals on a single.

The music video was directed by Nigel Dick who also directed their “As Long As You Love Me” (shot that same week) video and the second version of the Backstreet Boys’ “Drowning” music video. The music video, known for its bright colors, also gave us the “hat dance” for the first time.

The music video won “Choice Music Video” at the 1999 Teen Choice Awards.

The song went to number one in Spain and on the UK Indie charts and was a Top 5 hit in Australia, Austria, Canada, on the UK Singles chart, and the US Billboard Hot 100 charts.

As of January 11, 2020, the YouTube music video has 42.6 million views.
