Alright Backstreet fam, our boys are about to light up the Sphere in Vegas this weekend and no doubt it’s going to be electric from start to finish! But Vegas in July is no joke, and neither is a long day (and night) of dancing, singing, and partying amongst the hardcore BSB Army. Here’s how to keep yourself safe, comfortable, and energized so you can soak up every moment, whether you’re in the pit, in a vibrating seat, or heading to the After Party.

About that line outside…
- Doors open at 6:30 PM, and the venue won’t allow lining up before 5:30 PM.
- They might not stop you if you show up earlier, but just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
- Vegas heat is brutal, temps often soar past 110°F, and standing outside for hours puts you at serious risk for heat exhaustion or heat stroke. You can’t enjoy the show if they are laid up in a stretcher somewhere with the medics…
- Your health comes first. You’ll be inside no matter when you arrive, so avoid overheating or dizziness by waiting comfortably.
- If you must get there early, bring cold water, a portable fan, and an easy-to-toss umbrella or parasol for shade.
- Bottom line: Know your limits and stay safe!
Once you’re inside: Pit survival tips
- The pit means standing for hours, so wear the right shoes. Cushioned sneakers or padded sandals beat cute boots every time if you are in it for the long haul.
- Before the show, lean on trusted friends to hold your spot while you grab water or hit the restroom.
- This is also a great time to make some new friends! Most of the time, you’ll find some fun new fandom members to join you in fangirling out throughout the show.
- During breaks or slower songs, crouch down to give your feet and back a break. If you are near a wall or barrier, lean on them when you can.
- Consider foldable slippers or flip flops that you can stash if needed, but be ready to be on your feet most of the time.
Keep hydrated and energized
- Start sipping water early to avoid scrambling once at the venue.
- Add electrolytes if you can; Vegas heat is hell on earth.
- Eat a solid meal before you head out, focusing on carbs and protein to fuel your singing and dancing.
- Take it easy on the alcohol before and during the show since it dehydrates you faster, especially after standing all day in the heat and if you plan to head to the After Party following the show.
Keep that energy for the After Party
- The official After Party is Saturday, and the Backstreet Army always goes all in.
- Pace yourself if you want to be dancing at 1 AM. Don’t burn it all out during the first chorus of “Larger Than Life.”
- Bring a portable fan or cooling towel since indoor crowds, especially in the pit, can get seriously hot.
- Sneak in little breaks, stretch your legs between sets, and keep sipping water throughout the night.
- Grab a quick snack after the show to boost your energy so you’re ready to keep partying.
Look out for each other
- Backstreet fans are one of the best communities around. If you see someone looking wobbly, offer them water.
- Help save spots if someone needs a quick sit.
- Share sunscreen and look out for each other like family.
In short, don’t risk hours baking in the Vegas sun just to be first in line. Take care of your feet and keep moving so you’re not wiped out by the encore. Stay hydrated, eat well, and pace yourself for the after party. Above all, have the time of your life. Vegas and the Backstreet Boys together is a memory you’ll treasure forever. Stay safe, stay smart, and sing your heart out.
