2009 saw the release of the Backstreet Boys second album as a quartet, This Is Us. This Is Us saw the Boys return to their pop/r&b sound. In 2009 they embarked on the This Is Us World Tour. The tour began in Lisbon, Portugal on October 30, 2009 and ran until March 26, 2011 in Hanoi, Vietnam. They visited Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, North America, and South America.
The Tokyo, Japan concert at the Nippon Budokan February 18, 2010 was filmed and broadcast on Japanese TV. It was later released on DVD in Japan.
