According to reports, the Backstreet Boys have a mash-up song with Elvis Presley and the Queen of Pop herself, Britney Spears, in the new Elvis biography directed by Baz Luhrmann.
The movie, which is released in the U.S. on June 24th, debuted last night, May 25th, at the Cannes Film Festival in France and received a 12-minute standing ovation.
While we know that the Elvis song in question is mixed with “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” by the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” there’s been no confirmation on the Elvis song.
One article says that it’s reported that the song is “Hound Dog,” one of Elvis’ earlier hits and was originally performed by blues singer Big Mama Thornton.
The soundtrack will be released by RCA Records (BSB and Britney’s label) and includes new songs by Dolja Cat, plus Eminem and Cee Lo Green (produced by Dr. Dre) and renditions of Elvis songs by Kace Musgraves, Maneskin and more. The soundtrack will also have songs by Elvis Presley and also Austin Butler, who portrays Elvis in the film.
