Don’t go breaking the Backstreet Boys’ record on the American Top 40 Hot Adult Contemporary charts?
Well, they did it to themselves!
The American Top 40 tweeted yesterday that “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” the first single from the Backstreet Boys’ upcoming album, has surpassed “I Want It That Way.” According to the tweet, the classic BSB song only made it to No. 11 on the charts.
On Hot AC, The @BackstreetBoys reach the Top 10 with #DontGoBreakingMyHeart, making it their biggest hit to date since they first charted in 1997. Their prior best was #IWantItThatWay (#11) in 1999. pic.twitter.com/p8xnmlsPJf
