So many emotions have been running through my head this past week and a half and I know a lot of you have been feeling the same way.
Shocked by the news.
Anger that it’s happening.
Hatred for the accusations.
And sadness for what Nick Carter must be feeling.
Yeah, I said it. Nick. This is about all of that but without giving that person more attention, this post is about Nick and Backstreet Boys fans around the world.
This is a time where I know we all want to scream at the top of our lungs, pull an “Elvis” and shoot our TV when certain things come on or just punch a wall because we are so angry. Trust me, my face turned red today at work because I was so angry.
But we can’t let the anger take control. We have to pull through and be positive for Nick. We have to let him and the other four boys know that we are behind the Backstreet Boys 100 percent. We have to show the world that we are an army united, together and in full force.
It’s easy to get on Twitter and scream at people. I’ve done it many times, but what we need to do is show the world that we aren’t a bunch of mid-30’s (or whatever age) women who are still living in a teenage dream, eh, nightmare. We are adults, grown women who support an artist – a man – who has helped shape who we all have become.
It’s tough. Friday will be tougher. And maybe the next day might even suck more, but as Backstreet Boys fans, we have been through the ringer.
We can get through this and so can Nick.
