Confession: I think I’m becoming a Belieber…

sorrybeiberThe title alone is a little scary. I’ve always had a soft spot for teen pop – from New Kids to Backstreet Boys to Britney Spears to Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana.

Hell over the past few months, I’ve finally just showcased my One Direction love that I’ve been holding in and slightly showing over the past five years.

But now, it’s this damn Justin Bieber. I mean, really? I’m 35 years old… and totally laughed at Bieber Fever when it all happened. And I won’t deny that “Boyfriend” and “As Long As You Love Me” weren’t catchy.

But his latest album, “Purpose,” well, it’s pretty damn good.

The song that did me in was “Love Yourself.” I think that’s when I finally decided to admit. That at 35 years old, I am a Belieber. My friends may disown me or pretend this never happened. In fact, I don’t blame them. My family may all pretend I don’t share their last name.

But this is an amazing song.

The lyrics. The melody. I mean, the lyrics say a lot to me. It makes me think of things I probably shouldn’t think about. I guess that’s what a good song is supposed to do.

And we won’t even talk about “Sorry.”

And “What Do U Mean?”

And “I’ll Show You.”

In fact, look at this video here of all of the songs from his new album.
