Thoughts: @BackstreetBoys Army helping one another through tough times - BSBFangirls.com

for backstreet boys fans. by backstreet boys fans.

I have tried to overcome a negative body image for as long as I can remember. I have been on hundreds of diets over the years. I just happened to start another one 2 weeks ago. I joined Weight Watchers at 11:57 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020. I was talking with fellow team member Melly at the time. Melly is my #1 supporter when it comes to POSITIVE body image.

During this time of uncertainty, I think I may have chosen the hardest time to stay on a diet. I am currently working from home and the refrigerator and pantry are just steps away from my office. At this time my office is the couch and a folding TV tray table. I also am able to take as many breaks as I want during the day. No one but me is dictating when I can take a lunch or take a break to eat a snack.

I am currently weighing over 220 lbs. I have weighed more over the years, but I have also weighed less than 190 just a few years ago. I am going to be brutally honest with you. In the past, I have suffered from Bulimia. I didn’t have the tools I do today to deal with my emotions and stress. I wasn’t in a relationship and only had a few close friends. I was working two jobs and going to school full time. I was “trying” to be an adult, but wasn’t emotionally prepared for all that comes with “adulting”. This was before the Backstreet Boys came into my life. It was the early 90s and I had nothing that mattered to me as much as the boys do now.

How are you all dealing with the Coronavirus? I am trying to stay positive and thinking that none of our Backstreet Boys concerts will be postponed or even canceled. Overeating when I am upset and or stressed is a HUGE problem for me. I am tracking my food and my water intake. But I am not getting any exercise. Not too many steps from the couch to the fridge.

Are you dieting or just trying to be healthier? Are you struggling with stress or anxiety? I created a Facebook group of just BSB Fans Supporting Each Other. This group is not a fan page. It’s a page for US to discuss and post how we are feeling and supporting one another. I want this to be a safe place where we all lift each other up instead of tearing each other down. I see enough of that “in real life”. All I ask is no judgment or negativity towards any members… just Fangirls being there for one another.

If you would like to be part of this, find the group on Facebook and ask to join.

I can’t wait to hear from you.

This whole lockdown has played havoc on me now that we are back to work here in new zealand. I suffered from social phobia in the past and spending 8 weeks away from people has made it even harder. I was struggling earlier in the year but i had my bsb concerts in auckland and Sydney plus a meet and greet keeping me going. But when that was taken away from me it made me feel completely lost.
