The A to Z of Boy Bands: I

by | Nov 12, 2017 | Boy Bands, Music | 0 comments

The “A to Z of Boy Bands” is a new post series we are going to have on The Fangirling Life where we go letter by letter, talking about boy bands. Each post will include three people, songs, etc. that start with the letter.

In Real Life

In Real Life is the boy band that came together in 2017 from the ABC reality show “Boy Band” starring Rita Ora as the host, and Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, Spice Girl Emma Bunton and hit producer Timbland as the judges.

The band consists of Brady Tutton, Chance Perez, Drew Ramos, Sergio Calderon and Michael Conor. The group received a record deal with Hollywood Records after winning and released their first single, “Eyes Closed.”

“In A World Like This”

“In A World Like This” is the eighth studio world wide-released album by the Backstreet Boys. The album was released on July 24, 2013 on their own K-BAHN record label. The album was mostly recorded in London while the five guys lived in a house together for a few weeks. The album debuted at No. 5 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and made the Backstreet Boys the first act since Sade to have nine U.S. top 10 albums and the only boy band to do so.

The first radio released single from the album was “In A World Like This,” a song that was co-written by their former producer Max Martin, the man behind their signature songs.

“I’ll Make Love To You”

“I’ll Make Love To You” is the No. 1 hit song by Boyz II Men and the first song released from their best-selling album, “II.” The song was written by Babyface and stayed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 14 weeks, tying the record that was then held by Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” The group would go on to break that record with Mariah Carey and their duet, “One Sweet Day,” which held the spot for 16 weeks.
